Working in Integrative medicine research and herbal medicine since 2002, Christine brings the benefit of both Science and Traditional Chinese Medicine to her practice.
Christine is a highly skilled practitioner in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, backed by extensive experience and esteemed qualifications with a PhD in clinical science, an honours Science degree in Chemistry and a degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is registered with both the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA) and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), ensuring she upholds the highest professional standards.
With over 15 years in private practice, Christine’s journey in acupuncture began with a university degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), followed by clinical training at the Jiangsu Provincial Hospital of TCM in China in 2007. This rigorous education provided her with a deep understanding of TCM principles and their practical applications using acupuncture, herbal medicine, cupping and massage.
Her background prior to this was in Biological Chemistry, specialising in Natural Products Chemistry, which adds a unique dimension to her practice. Christine’s research and knowledge of plant chemistry, herbal medicine, and acupuncture enhances her ability to integrate natural remedies with modern healthcare approaches.
In 2018 Christine was awarded a prestigious scholarship from Blackmores and the Australian government for her PhD in clinical science and herbal medicine. This expertise allows her to seamlessly blend evidence-based practices with traditional methods, ensuring comprehensive and effective care.
Christine has worked as an acupuncturist and researcher in specialised women’s health clinics in Sydney, focusing on endometriosis, fertility, and pregnancy support, including the renowned Sydney Acupuncture IVF clinic where she contributed to research on natural killer cells and IVF acupuncture. Now based in the Southern Highlands, she brings a diverse clinical background, offering treatments for stress management, women’s reproductive health, pregnancy support, pain-relief, neuropathy, digestive concerns, complementary cancer care, immune disorders, arthritis and other conditions.
