Dr Christine Murray PhD
Working in Integrative medicine research and herbal medicine since 2002, Christine brings the benefit of both Science and Traditional Chinese Medicine to her practice.
Christine is a highly qualified practitioner in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, with a PhD in Clinical Science and herbal medicine, an Honours degree in Chemistry, and a degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is registered with the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA) and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), upholding the highest professional standards.
With over 15 years in private practice and more than 20 years in plant medicine and acupuncture research, Christine offers a unique blend of traditional wisdom and modern science. Her expertise in plant chemistry, herbal medicine, and acupuncture allows her to integrate natural remedies with evidence-based healthcare for comprehensive, effective treatment.
In 2018, Christine was awarded a prestigious scholarship from Blackmores and the Australian Government for her PhD research in herbal medicine. She has worked extensively in specialised women’s health clinics in Sydney, including the renowned Sydney Acupuncture IVF Clinic, where she contributed to research on natural killer cells and IVF acupuncture.
Now based in the Southern Highlands, Christine supports clients through all stages of women’s health — from reproductive years to menopause and beyond — as well as providing treatments for stress, pain relief, neuropathy, digestive concerns, pregnancy care, complementary cancer support, immune disorders, arthritis, and other chronic conditions.
